·         Magnet:  12:20-1:05 p.m.

Monday, 5/09/16

Homeroom All Day

STAAR Math Retakes

·         We will begin reading “Perseus and Medusa.” Students will answer reading comprehension and analysis questions about the myth.

·         We will read a packet to review several science concepts.  Students will apply reading strategies, and answer questions.

·         Students will work on an activity that requires them to comprehend Dr. Seuss’ political cartoons from World War II.

HW: Read 30 minutes.

 

Tuesday, 5/10/16

P.M. Class All Day

STAAR Reading Retake

·         We will begin reading “Perseus and Medusa.” Students will answer reading comprehension and analysis questions about the myth.

Wednesday, 5/11/16

STAAR Science

·         As we have time, we will begin watching the next section of the documentary America:  The Story of Us.  This section looks at the Second World War, the soldiers involved, how it affected the world, and the technology advancements made during the war.

HW: Read 30 minutes. Preposition Packet due TOMORROW. Grammar QUIZ tomorrow. 

 

Thursday, 5/12/16

·         We will review “Perseus and Medusa” by reading a comic strip and acting it out, using Reader’s Theater scripts.

·         Using questions from Social Studies snapshots, we will begin reviewing for the End of Year Assessment.

Work Stations

·         Complete the Prepositions Grammar Quiz.

·         Read quietly.

HW: Read 30 minutes. Study for Southeastern Map Quiz TOMORROW.

 

Friday, 5/13/16

·         We will review answers to the “Perseus and Medusa” questions students have completed for this story.

·         We will continue reviewing content for the Social Studies End of Year Assessment.

Work Stations

·         Complete Southeastern Map Quiz.

·         Complete “Perseus and Medusa” Assessment.

·         Read quietly.

HW: Read and rest.
